Pratical InformationThe worskop will be hosted at the Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées, 14 avenue Edouard Belin in Toulouse. Welcome to Midi-Pyrénées, land of sciences The Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées is a federation of laboratories gathering around 1000 persons dedicated to the Universe, Planets, Earth, and Environment systems scientific studies. Through its belonging to the Université Paul Sabatier, it is part of the Toulouse University, that gathers the 4 universities and the 17 schools of engineering of the site. Toulouse University, this is 100 674 students (14% being foreign students) and 11 457 staff for 145 laboratories. Situated between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, in the heart of Southern France and close to the Pyrenees mountain range, the Midi-Pyrenees region has long been a major crossroads in Europe. Attracting 15 000 newcomers every year, Midi-Pyrénées is the leading French region for research with 16.2 researchers for 1,000 salaried positions and 4.1% of GDP spent on research – around twice the European average. Travel information : Landing at Blagnac airport, you'll reach the city center of Toulouse using the airport shuttle. On the first morning of the workshop, please take the subway, line B, direction Ramonville, and call at Université Paul Sabatier station. Note that is shall take you around 27 minutes to connect from the city center to the University. At Université Paul Sabatier station, a private shuttle will collect participants and drive them through the Université Paul Sabatier campus to the Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées building.
